Supplier Quality Requirements Task Force
The DaimlerChrysler/Ford/General Motors Supplier Quality Requirements Task
Force (SQRTF) is the responsible body that oversees QS-9000. Initiated in Fall
1988, it is made up of representatives from each of the Big Three companies.
SQRTF members are Hank Gryn, DaimlerChrysler Corporation; Steve Walsh, Ford
Motor Company; and Joseph Bransky, General Motors Corporation.
The responsibilities of the SQRTF include:
- Authorship and oversight of Quality System Requirements: QS-9000, the
common Chrysler, Ford, General Motors supplier quality requirements.
- Oversight of all DaimlerChrysler/Ford/General Motors QS-9000-related
documents, including translations.
- Oversight of the worldwide QS-9000 program. In other countries, this is
often accomplished in conjunction with local members of the companies.
- Participation on the International Auto Sector Group, an ad hoc group
composed of the SQRTF and representatives from accreditation bodies,
registrars, and suppliers. This group publishes the "QS-9000 Sanctioned
Interpretations," which provide clarification to the QS-9000
requirements and registration process. The QS-9000 Sanctioned
Interpretations are binding upon all QS-9000 compliance/registration
efforts.
